Radio host Bianca Dye reveals her heartbreaking struggle to conceive and the toll three miscarriages and multiple failed IVF attempts took on her mentally and physically
Radio host Bianca Dye has opened up about her struggle to conceive.
The 46-year-old told Stellar magazine she has endometriosis and a lesser-known condition known as adenomyosis, which affects the uterus wall.
She has had a heartbreaking journey, with three miscarriages and numerous unsuccessful IVF attempts, which has taken a huge toll on her physical and mental well-being.

The IVF affected Bianca’s hormones, which heightened her pre-existing anxiety and depression.
At the same time, Bianca was also struggling with the experience of miscarrying.
‘You’re expected to then go to work and act sane while you’re surrounded by people who say they get it, but they don’t, unless they’ve been through it as well,’ Bianca explained.

She continued: ‘I found comfort in posting on social media and communicating these issues on radio and TV. The messages I get from people who have been through similar turbulence are like an empathetic virtual hug.’
Bianca wants to change her outlook on motherhood, telling the publication she’s ‘made peace’ that it may be her ‘journey to mother many, instead of just one’.
Her friends have told her: ‘Do you know how many people you’ve nurtured by being so open about your struggles with mental health and IVF? If you don’t end up being a biological mother, you’ve still been a mother in some shape or form to others.’
Three years ago, Bianca fell for father-of-four Jay Sandtner after seeing him on dating app Bumble.

‘He’s everything I’ve ever wanted all wrapped up in one,’ she told the Courier Mail in 2018.
The 45-year-old businessman has three older sons and a five-year-old daughter, Madison.
Describing her new ‘instant family’ as a ‘little team’, she added: ‘There has never been a moment when it hasn’t felt really natural – we have jelled as a little family’.
Bianca and Jay are now considering looking for an egg donor to grow their family.
