The heavyweight champion told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid that despite being unable to train at the gym he’s still keeping fit with daily at-home workouts, and he’s enjoying spending more time with his family.

Tyson told Piers and Susanna that’s keeping positive during the COVID-19 lockdown, and said he’s embracing the chance to spend more time with his children.

He said: ‘There is positives to take out of everything, the positive for me is I get to spend a lot of time with my family and do lots of family activities. When this is all over and done I’ll think that was a good time.’

Piers also asked Tyson how he’s handling being unable to maintain his gruelling gym regime during the lockdown, with the boxer admitting he’s come up with fun alternatives.

He explained: ‘It’s quite difficult because I’m not able to go to gyms and train, however I have been doing every morning a workout video live on Instagram.

‘It’s helping people’s fitness and mental health. Everyone goes nuts in the front room while we’re working out.’

Tyson also hilariously told Piers and Susanna that with a family of seven at home, they’re getting through more food than ever, leaving a huge amount of rubbish to dispose of.

He said: ‘The bins come in my area once every two weeks, I have a truckload of rubbish to take to the tip and I can’t take it. I’ve got to wait until next Monday before the bin man comes.

‘Having the kids off school all day every day we’re going through that much food and rubbish is just unbelievable.’

Indeed, the star recently gave a glimpse of just how much food the family get through after he shared the whopping bill of over £500 for a takeaway meal they received.

Amid the order was a stack of pizzas, mixed grill platters, king prawns, steak and chicken wings to feed the family, which also included Paris’ parents.
