On Friday, David looked handsome as he co-hosted Today Extra with Belinda Russell.

He sported an open shirt and a navy blazer, showing off his new beard.

The father-of-three also sported a fresh undercut.

David likes to look after himself and keeps fit by enjoying long runs around Sydney Harbour.

He also adopted a vegan diet in recent years, after seeing his father Jimmy, 64, in hospital.

In November last year, David penned a piece for Stellar magazine and said that his father’s illness made him concerned for his own health.

‘Seeing my father in hospital a few years back made me look at my habits,’ David wrote at the time.

‘I began to feel the pangs of mortality as I looked at him in an open-back gown. How can I not get here? Can I avoid a daily handful of pills as I get older? How can I not be a burden to my kids?’

David added that he calls himself a ‘Bogan Vegan’ because he still loves junk food, and often seeks out vegan burgers, pizza and other treats.

However, he admits he once had a veracious appetite for meat and would never consider becoming vegan a decade ago.

The TV star says that since turning vegan, which he did over the course of a year, his skin has improved, as have his sleep patterns.

He also revealed that his weight has stabilised, as have his moods, with David no longer experiencing ‘extreme highs and lows’.
