‘I was there for the right reasons’: Bachelor In Paradise’s Brittney Weldon says she didn’t do the show for fame after her emotional breakdown
She won over Bachelor in Paradise viewers after her heart-wrenching confession about being unlucky in love on Thursday night.
On Friday, Britney Weldon thanked her supporters on Instagram for sending ‘kind messages’ after the emotional episode aired.
The 27-year-old revealed that she was so upset about Jamie Doran’s rejection because she went on the popular reality series to try and find love, not fame.

‘I just want to thank everyone for the kind messages,’ Brittney wrote on Instagram.
She continued: ‘Most people say reality TV isn’t about finding love its about fame but I can 100 per cent say I am and was there every time for all the right reasons.
‘It’s so hard to watch people around you find connections and you just think to yourself: “What am I doing wrong?”

‘Watching it back last night, knowing how sad I was in that moment has only made me stronger and excited for what’s to come.’
Brittney was brought to tears after attempting to get a date with Jamie Doran on Thursday night’s episode, with the fireman quickly friend-zoning her.
Speaking to the camera, she said: ‘I know I’m out there. I know I’m crazy. And I know I have fun. But, like, you know, I am looking for someone.’

She continued: ‘That’s why I’m here for the third time.’
Brittney went on to admit that she struggles to find love in real life, too.
‘It’s not even about Paradise. It’s just about love in general. I’ve never been past the first date in so long, like, I don’t know what it feels like for someone to like me.’
Speaking to the camera, she said: ‘I know I’m out there. I know I’m crazy. And I know I have fun. But, like, you know, I am looking for someone.’
‘I feel like I could give so much. Everyone deserves love, but then it’s just like me in the corner again, alone.
‘It’s day two and I feel like a fool. But I just feel like I’m doing this for the third time and still I’ve got nothing,’ she said.
