Amanda Kloots says husband Nick Cordero sent her a ‘cheeky’ sign that he’s still there with her

Amanda Kloots feels like late husband Nick Cordero sent her a message as she copes with his death from coronavirus complications at age 41.

The mother-of-one took to Instagram to share a hopeful moment on Thursday, telling supporters how the Broadway talent sent her a ‘cheeky sign’ he was still ‘there with her’ despite his passing.

After asking the universe to show her some support, Amanda came across something which was surprisingly symbolic to her husband: the Geico gecko.

Amanda posted a picture of the gecko as she explained the too-close-for-coincidence experience.

While on a walk with their one-year-old son Elvis, Kloots said she asked ‘out loud’ for a sign from Cordero.

‘On the walk I was talking out loud to Nick. I’m not kidding you I said, “Babe, will you show me a sign that you’re here with me and Elvis. I don’t know what it would be, but please show me a sign.”‘

And later she got a message in quite a quirky way.

‘I had the People magazine [with his cover] on my bed last night because I was going to read it finally. It fell off the bed and landed face down and on the back cover was the Geico gecko.’

The image held special importance to Amanda and Nick, as she explained.

‘Nick put two things on his vision board this year, two things. One of them was the Geico gecko. Out of all the ads that could have been on the back of Nicks issue, THIS WAS THE AD!’

Amanda couldn’t help but take it as a reminder of healing  and resilience.

‘The spiritual meaning of a gecko, in case you are wondering, it represents incredible healing and cleansing due to its regenerative powers. The appearance of a gecko in your life means you are strong, fearless and can overcome anything!

‘I believe this was a sign from Nick! It was his cheeky way of saying, ‘Hi honey. I’m here still! I’m with you.”‘

Nick’s sign to Amanda helped comfort some of her heartbreak, which she described in another post.

‘For me the nights are the hardest,’ she wrote. ‘Elvis is sleeping. The house gets quiet. I start slowing down and and reflecting and then missing him. Sleep has been hard. I just lay there hoping to fall asleep but that hope just makes my mind wander more.’

It has been almost two-weeks since Amanda lost the love of her life after a serious of devastating COVID-19 complications.

Nick died on Sunday, July 5 at age 41 after months battling in the hospital.

He was admitted to the hospital March 31st and was originally misdiagnosed with pneumonia

Nick suffered a many complications, including blood clot issues which eventually led to the amputation of his right leg

He was put on a ventilator, received a temporary pacemaker, and entered a medically-induced coma

Though he made it off the ventilator and woke up from his coma, infections left his body and lungs so weak that he was never able to fully recover

The Tony-nominated star was in hit shows like Waitress and Bullets Over Broadway.
