Abbie Chatfield has revealed that wants to be on the Bachelorette

She’s not giving up! Abbie Chatfield reveals she now wants to be on The Bachelorette after her VERY brief stint on Bachelor in Paradise

She failed to win the heart of Matt Agnew on the 2019 season of The Bachelor and she was sent home in the second episode of Bachelor in Paradise.

Yet despite failing to find The One on either show, Abbie Chatfield hasn’t given up on love.

In fact, the 25-year-old reality star has revealed she is hoping to return to our screens as the Bachelorette.

Big return: Abbie Chatfield has revealed that she is hoping to return to our screens as the Bachelorette in the future

‘I would do The Bachelorette because I think it works really well and there are some really good success stories from it,’ she told WHO magazine.

‘I think it would be fun but I think I need a year or two off. I’m only 25 – I think the right age for it would be late twenties like Angie Kent, even though she and Carlin [Sterritt] broke up which is really sad.’

This comes after Abbie was sent home on Thursday night’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise after Jamie Doran gave his rose to Brittney Weldon during the show’s first rose ceremony.

Abbie was left blindsided by the move because Jamie, 40, earlier promised he’d give her his rose, something he’d also promised Brittney.

However, Abbie has revealed that she was thrilled to be sent home from the Channel Ten dating show early.

‘I was euphoric that I was leaving, not because of anything horrible about Bachelor in Paradise but it just wasn’t the place for me so I was like “I want to get out of here as soon as I can,”‘ she told the magazine.

‘And then my tears after were tears of joy, like truly!’

But, fans weren’t as happy to see Abbie go, sharing their thoughts on Twitter.

‘Nooooooo! Abbie was the only interesting one. I hope there’s more drama coming, otherwise I’m done,’ tweeted one fan.

Another wrote: ‘Okay well that was fun for two episodes, I don’t wanna watch without Abbie.’

Bachelor in Paradise continues Tuesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10
