Pete Evans suffers a VERY horrific injury following a freak surfing accident

Controversial celebrity chef Pete Evans has revealed he’s ‘torn his hamstring off his sit bone’ in a freak surfing accident on Tuesday morning.

Pete detailed the gruesome extent of the injury, which he likened to ‘doing the splits very quickly and under enormous force’ while attempting a ‘backhand floater on a beautiful wave.’

In a lengthy Facebook post, the 51-year-old acknowledged the severity of the injury, explaining that he would be giving up his favourite hobby for the next few months while he heals.

However, he said he was excited to try out alternative practises such as localised cryotherapy and red light therapy at his new Byron Bay ‘healing clinic’, Evolve Health Labs, to help him on his ‘journey’.

This is the third major surfing accident for the conspiracy theorist who required fifty stitches to his fractured skull at age 14 and was forced to use crutches for several months after busting his knee four years ago.

The Paleo diet advocate began his post by thanking the ‘local crew of good Samaritans, paramedics, doctors, chiropractors, energy and spiritual healers’ who helped him following the nasty accident in the waters.

Explaining his current situation, he continued: ‘I may be off the boards for a few months while this injury heals itself, but at least I get to try out our new equipment at “evolve health labs” to help me on this journey including cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, red light therapy and localised cryo[therapy].

‘I love being able to access the best of modern medicine and alternative and ancient health modalities.’

Detailing the two other injuries which left him needing several months worth of rehabilitation, Pete explained: ‘I am so grateful for every opportunity that has presented itself on this journey, and time will tell what this means, however, I am enjoying some new perspectives.

‘I am looking forward to getting back out there again to catch some more waves when the time is right.’

Pete has also been subjected to a slate of non-threatening surfing injuries in the past few years.

In April last year, Pete shared snaps of the painful injuries to his head and back after colliding with a section of reef while surfing in Fiji.

In 2017, he documented a nasty arm graze during a surfing family getaway in Fiji.

In the last week, Pete was busy putting the finishing touches to his new Evolve Health Labs ‘healing clinic’ in Habitat Lifestyle Precinct on Bayshore Drive, Byron Bay.

As of Saturday, the once-empty space now bears the Evolve branding and a message on the window that reads: ‘Wellness therapies to revive your body and mind.’

Shoppers at the precinct told Daily Mail Australia on Saturday that they were looking forward to supporting the clinic when it opens.

‘We’re a small community and support each other. It’s exciting to see something new,’ one person said.

Pete has been embroiled in a string of controversies since departing Channel Seven earlier this year.

He was recently invited on 60 Minutes to share his bizarre conspiracy theories about COVID-19 and the 5G network.

Despite sharing misleading information about immunisation over the years, Pete has insisted he is not an ‘anti-vaxxer’ but ‘pro-choice for medical freedom’.

However, there is no such thing as being ‘pro-choice’ regarding vaccinations. People who do not vaccinate their children are putting the community at unnecessary risk.

Pete has claimed on several occasions that vaccines cause autism, but this is false and based on a scientific paper that was later exposed as fraudulent.

People who claim there is a link between vaccines and autism typically seek to profit from unscientific alternative health treatments, just like Pete.
