Lea Michele takes a drive with her mother Edith as she is spotted for the first time since news of her Glee co-star Naya Rivera’s death
She recently paid tribute to her Glee co-star Naya Rivera, who was confirmed dead on Monday after having disappeared during a lake outing with her son Josey, 4.
And Lea Michele was seen for the first time publicly – since the news of Rivera’s passing – on Tuesday while taking a drive through the Pacific Palisades with her mother Edith.
The 33-year-old actress looked glum as she conversed with her mother from the passenger’s side.

Lea appeared to have her hair in a ponytail as her mother navigated the road.
In order to honor Rivera’s life, Michele uploaded a black-and-white portrait of the late actress to her Instagram Story.
The photo showed Naya looking camera-ready and gazing down while seemingly hanging out backstage during their time on Glee.
Rivera’s body was recovered at Lake Piru on Monday, where she went missing on July 8. She was 33.

Prior to the discovery of Naya’s body, Lea had deleted her Twitter account after allegedly receiving abusive messages from fans of Naya following her disappearance.
Naya accused Lea of hostile behavior during their Glee days in her 2016 book Sorry Not Sorry, however, they seemed to be on good terms in recent months.
Naya’s death confirmation also happened to land on the seventh anniversary of fellow Glee star Cory Monteith’s death, who died of an accidental drug overside in 2013 at the age of 31.
So, Lea commemorated Monteith, as well, by uploading a black-and-white portrait of him holding a bouquet of flowers while standing on a bridge in Central Park, New York.

Glee first premiered on Fox in in 2009 and ran for a total of six-seasons.
Michele played the role of musical theater geek Rachel Berry, Rivera played the role of cheerleader Santana Lopez, and Monteith as jock Finn Hudson.
Lea – who is currently expecting her first child with husband Zandy Reich, 37 – was called out by many of her former Glee co-stars last month over her alleged bad on-set behavior.
