Kylie Gillies found an unusual way to celebrate Bastille Day, the national day of France, on Tuesday. 

The 53-year-old shared three selfies to Instagram, in which she posed with her beloved French Bulldog, Pepe. 

The Morning Show host wrote in the caption: ‘When your Frenchie is just soooo over your Bastille Day shoot’.

In the photos, Kylie cuddled up to the pooch, who appeared to be confused by what she was up to. 

She snapped a number of photographs while he twisted in her lap and licked his lips adorably.  

Kylie looked comfortable in a trendy black sweatshirt, and wore a full face of makeup, her hair down straight around her soft features.

Recently, the youthful journalist revealed that she doesn’t need to hit the gym or roll out the Pilates mat to stay fit because her fast-paced family life is already keeping her in shape. 

The Australian TV personality  told WHO magazine last year that she ‘doesn’t feel a day over 30’. 

And that largely has to do with chasing around her two sons – Gus, 16, and Archie, 14 – and the family French Bulldog.

Instead of pumping iron you’ll find her jogging gently alongside her dog Pepe on their daily walks, or next to her sons as they cycle around a park.  

‘I don’t go to Pilates and have some strict fitness regimen,’ Kylie told Body and Soul. ‘With two boys who never stop, and a dog who’s a little ball of energy, there’s no chance for me to sit down and take it easy.

‘The only time you’ll really find me off my feet and sitting down during the day is when I’m sitting next to [co-host] Larry [Emdur] on the show.’
