Iggy Azalea has finally revealed her newborn son’s name: Onyx.
The 30-year-old rapper confirmed the child’s name in a short clip shared to Instagram on Tuesday afternoon.
The video consisted of the words ‘Amethyst & Onyx’ – Amethyst being Iggy’s legal first name – in white text against a black background.

‘Baby boy, are you going to say something to me?’ Iggy asks in the recording.
In response, the child coos while his mother responds with ‘Ahhh! Hello!’ and laughs.
The Fancy hitmaker simply captioned the post: ‘Baby boyyyyyyy.’

Iggy was flooded with compliments from her fans, several of whom said her son’s unique name matched hers perfectly.
‘Your names go so well together,’ one follower commented. ‘Very cute name,’ another wrote, while a third added: ‘So sweet.’
Onyx is a type of black gemstone, considered by some to be grounding stone that calm fears and creates a feeling of security.
The words derives from the Greek word ὄνυξ, meaning claw or fingernail.
