The Voice: Delta Goodrem and Boy George pick their final contestants for top eight semi-finals

It’s crunch time on The Voice Australia and on Monday night, Boy George and Delta Goodrem picked the two contestants they’re taking forward to the semi-finals.

Boy George had a surprise pick in Siala Robson – last week, the 18-year-old got halfway through singing David Bowie’s Fame 90, but forgot the lyrics.

However Siala bounced back this week with a stunning original track – Emotional Criminal – which left Delta Goodrem gushing that the teen could be a world star.

Boy George told the young singer of his choice: ‘You represent individuality. For me star is someone you cannot separate any part of. They are just a totality.

‘And you come with that. And if you learn not to let your mistakes get in the way you could become a reckoning force.’

Next, Boy George picked Masha Mnjoyan, who had performed the Tina Arena classic Chains.

Masha, who won The Voice Armenia in 2013, looked absolutely shocked and became tearful when she was chosen to go into the semi-finals.

‘You need to stop being surprised. With all your experience, having won The Voice Armenia, you are still having am issue accepting who you are, where you are, and what this could be,’ the British singer told her.

‘This is a moment for you to really take some ownership of what you have achieved. You are on the voice in Australia, the biggest show in Australia, and you are now heading to the finals.’
