Love Island Australia’s Erin Barnett vows to get fit as Melbourne goes into lockdown

Love Island Australia star Erin Barnett has vowed to get ‘as fit as possible’ over the next six weeks, as Melbourne goes into a six-week lockdown.

As the Victorian capital battles another COVID-19 outbreak, the reality TV star is taking a ‘no excuses’ approach to using her time at home to better her fitness.

On Thursday, the 25-year-old shared a saucy Instagram selfie of herself in a black cleavage-bearing top, that drew attention to her ample assets.

‘I really have no excuses this time’: Love Island Australia’s Erin Barnett shared a busty post of herself on Instagram on Thursday and wrote in the caption that she vowed to get ‘as fit as possible’ while in lockdown over the next six weeks

She wrote in the caption: ‘Lockdown this time round shouldn’t be THAT bad… hopefully I can hang in there like my strap is hanging onto my shirt.’

‘I’ve decided I’m going to use the next six weeks to get as fit as possible. I literally can’t do much else, so I really have no excuses this time.

The blonde beauty explained that she shared the busty photo to use as a comparison after lockdown ends.

‘I’m posting it on my Instagram so I can come back in six weeks and have a proud moment that I succeeded OR laugh at this caption while I’m on the couch 15kgs heavier,’ she said, telling her fans to stay tuned on her results.

Erin’s fitness plans come after she treated herself to a glamorous makeover hours before the six-week stay-at-home order was enforced in Melbourne on Wednesday.

After visiting a local salon to get her nails done, the Love Island beauty shared a photo of her acrylic nails which featured hand painted clouds and butterflies, as well as embellished with diamante gems.

She wrote in the caption: ‘Are you kidding me?! ⁣Look at my god damn nails. Aren’t they just the most incredible nails you’ve ever seen.

Erin also managed to make an eyelash appointment before lockdown.

She shared a selfie showing off her full lashes and wrote in the caption: ‘I got my lashes refilled. Just in time!’

Her pre-lockdown makeover comes after she was forced to defend herself against judgemental Brits sending her harsh messages online.

As Love Island Australia airs in the UK, two years after it first aired Down Under, the nurse shared a busty selfie to Instagram and reminded her critics that they were watching events from 2018.

She wrote: ‘Yeah, look, I was a crazy b***h and swore a lot. Not much has changed.

‘But I have grown up and realised I probably shouldn’t have said some nasty things to some of the girls on the show [and] probably shouldn’t have done a lot of s**t I did.’

Two years on after filming Love Island, Erin is in a long-term relationship with a man named Mick Russell – and is even a stepmother to his children.

‘You have no idea how Mick has changed my life for the better. He makes me feel safe, secure and happy!’ she wrote.

Erin also thanked British fans for showing their support and added: ‘Enjoy the show in your lounge room and when the episode ends, leave it there. Don’t attack us on Instagram… We have well and truly moved on.’

In 2018, Erin was coupled up with now ex-boyfriend Eden Dally on Love Island and they made it to the grand finale together.

But they missed out on winning the show and the $50,000 cash prize, which went to Grant Crapp and Tayla Damir instead.
