Meanwhile, Reece has revealed that being forced to spend six months away from his partner Dene Whitfeld  during his first stint on MasterChef in 2018 took a toll on the relationship.

‘Leaving your partner for six months is hard – it was tough,’ he told TV week magazine.

‘Dean was at home looking after bills by himself, and I’m out here not contributing,’ he added.

The reality star also admitted he felt ‘guilty’ for not being able to call as often as he would have liked due to the hectic filming schedule.

However, the couple worked through the rough patch and when Reece got the call to appear on MasterChef: Back to Win, Dene didn’t hesitate to tell him to go for it.

‘Dene was super excited for me to return, maybe even more excited than I was!’ Reece told Woman’s Day in April.
