The Voice fans come to Soma Sutton’s defense after she blasted the judges

Viewers of The Voice called contestant Soma Sutton, 26, ‘ungrateful’ and a ‘brat’ after she blasted the coaches following her elimination on Tuesday night’s episode. 

But now, a number of fans are coming to her defense on Twitter. 

Posting on the social media platform on Wednesday many users have echoed Soma’s sentiments that the coaches advice ‘isn’t genuine’. 

One commented: ‘Go Soma! The advice is not really genuine. The #thevoiceau show decides who do into the next rounds based on who they think will make the most money for them.

‘Looks like Soma was headhunted & promises were made to get her on the show. There’s always an agenda with TV.’ 

Another wrote: ‘I dare say that Soma is probably correct. Stuck up celebrities have no time for plebs.’   

A third commented: ‘I was asked to be on Xfactor a few years back. They called me over 10 times to convince me it would be great for my career.

‘Once you’re there, it’s long days and a lot of fluff from “judges”. I get where Soma is coming from.’ 

Other’s sympathised with Soma saying that she is ‘human’ and felt ‘betrayed’ by the coaches. 

‘Look, all that she showed was that she is as human as the rest of us with her share of human insecurity that she would have loved the chance to have the coaching overcome,’ said a user. 

‘I think she felt betrayed and forgot for a minute what The Voice is about.’ 

This comes after Soma blasted the judges after her mentor, Guy Sebastian, failed to pick her in the playoff round. 

‘Your advice that you guys all give, is that genuine? I would just like to know what you really think. Do I actually have what it takes to be a musician?’ she said. 

Kelly Rowland stepped in to try and calm her down while Guy looked absolutely aghast saying: ‘No one’s going to waste their time and just tell you something because it sounds good.’

Later in the show, Guy failed to choose Soma as his wildcard eliminating her from the competition altogether.
