Locky Gilbert kisses a blonde beauty as production of The Bachelor resumes

Production recently resumed on The Bachelor after a hiatus of more than three months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And leading man Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert wasted no time getting back in the saddle since filming kicked off last week.

In photos taken on Monday, the 30-year-old was spotted locking lips with a stunning blonde inside a leafy gazebo at the Bachelor film-set in Oxford Falls, Sydney.

Not wasting any time! Locky Gilbert, 30, kissed a mystery blonde on the set of The Bachelor on Monday after production for the show resumed following a three-month hiatus

It’s unclear whether the pair were just spending some alone time together during a cocktail party, or whether they were at the end of a one-on-one date together.

Before kissing, the couple were spotted sipping wine while engaging in a deep conversation.

Earlier in the day, several other women were spotted filming at the Bachelor mansion.

The Bachelor’s eighth season will premiere on Channel 10 next month, the network’s head of entertainment, Stephen Tate, announced on Monday.

While an exact air date hasn’t been confirmed, it’s expected the show will launch at the end of August, after Bachelor in Paradise season three has finished its run.

The dating show resumed filming last week after the cast and crew were put in isolation and tested for coronavirus twice.

On-site production had been suspended on March 26 due to the escalating COVID-19 pandemic.

During lockdown, suitor Locky is believed to have had ‘virtual dates’ via Zoom with the female contestants.

‘We were three-quarters of the way through series when we went into lockdown, and basically all the cast returned home,’ Mr Tate told The Australian.

‘So we would find ways for the show to continue in the same way that dating continues in the wider world… We call it ‘Love in Lockdown. They continued to virtually date, both as single dates and as group dates.’

Because of the disruption to Channel 10’s schedule caused by COVID-19, it’s possible The Bachelor will still be in production when the show premieres.

In previous seasons, the finale has been filmed well before the first episode hits screens, but it’s unclear whether this will be the case this year.

Interestingly, Mr Tate revealed in his interview with The Australian that each episode of The Bachelor requires about four to five weeks of editing.

Previous Bachelors include astrophysicist Matt Agnew, former Wallaby Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins, personal trainer Sam Wood and chiropractor Tim Robards.

The Bachelor Australia will premiere on Channel 10 in August
