‘Things felt semi-normal’: Frankie Bridge shares sweet family snaps at safari park as they enjoy their first proper day out since lockdown started

She has been spending lockdown at home with her family at their home in Surrey.

And Frankie Bridge said things seemed ‘semi-normal’ again while on a family day out at Woburn safari park in Bedfordshire, on Tuesday.

The former Saturdays singer, 31, took to her Instagram to share some images of husband Wayne Bridge, 39, and their two children, Parker, six, and Carter, four.

All four had squeezed into the car for a wholesome day out looking at animals.

Frankie uploaded the charming snap for her 1.1million followers alongside the caption: ‘Today was the 1st day since our new friend Corona that we’ve all left the house to go out and actually do something!

‘I even wore hard trousers (jeans) for the occasion… things felt semi normal.

‘Apart from my constant ‘don’t touch anything!’ now what for the next billion weeks?!’

Frankie then took to her Instagram Story to detail what the family got up to during their trip.

She filmed a joyous Parker in the back seat before turning the camera to Carter to ask the ‘little bear’ what animal they had just seen.

The sweet boy stared at the camera before shouting: ‘Bear!’

The family then hopped out of the car to walk around some enclosures and saw some meerkats.

Unfortunately the weather took a turn once the family got out of the car and Frankie uploaded a selfie of her and Wayne looking annoyed underneath an umbrella.

It comes after Frankie revealed how her family had been coping with lockdown.

At the end of April she spoke to Laura Whitmore on her Castaways podcast and said: ‘It’s weird!

‘At first I was like well this is nice, you know it’s a really horrible situation but I’m going to take the positives from it.

‘It’s really nice to all be together all four of us at home and it was sunny so it was nice.

‘The kids were out in the garden and at first I was quite enjoying it, and I’ve kind of had my first wobble now where I’m like okay this is going to be quite a long time.

‘The boys are asking quite a lot of questions about can we go to certain places, can they see their friends and it’s just that realisation that this is kind of our new normal.

‘And we don’t know for how long really and I think that’s what’s making it harder.’
