The Voice’s Delta Goodrem lashes out at Guy Sebastian over BRUTAL review of Goldi duo

‘He just wants to s**t on my team!’ The Voice’s Delta Goodrem lashes out at Guy Sebastian after the judge gives a BRUTAL review of her new duo singers

Delta Goodrem was less than impressed with Guy Sebastian on Monday night’s episode of The Voice Australia when he slammed her new duo.

Solo singers and Janie Gordon and Matt Evans were teamed up into a duo by Delta and, now called Goldi, had their debut performance at the playoffs on Monday.

Guy was vastly less than impressed by the pair, who performed the Flume song Never Be Like You.

‘I will be brutally honest here. I feel like I could really feel the inexperience here,’ Guy began in his judging.

He went on: ‘ I will be brutally honest again, I still don’t get the joining together of you guys. I saw Matt and I said from the beginning, you come across as a star to me.

‘You sang INXS and it was cool, whereas… you’re going to hate me for this, I felt like that was sort of like a Glee version of the song.

‘It just didn’t feel like it was cool. So I don’t know what’s gone wrong there. I know that sounds brutal but I am only trying to help.’

Delta was aghast, shooting Guy very perturbed looks as he spoke before defending her team.

‘Totally subjective. We all see things differently. I definitely don’t see Glee,’ she said, and went on to pick Goldi to go forward in the competition.

Once the performers were off stage, Guy admitted: ‘That performance looked incredible, the blues everywhere, it was magic in here.’

‘Why didn’t you say that? fellow judge Kelly Rowland, who was being beamed inon a video screen from LA, asked him, incredulous.

‘He’d prefer to s**t on my team!’ a clearly annoyed Delta snapped back.

Later when Guy admitted he liked some of the performance, Delta snapped: 'He'd prefer to s**t on my team!'

‘Who knew Guy would be the bitchy one?” Boy George, who was also being beamed in, from London, laughed.

‘Very tiring,’ Delta said with a long sigh, sinking back in her chair.

Guy actually looked sheepish, and admitted to his fellow judges that he felt guilty about what he has said to the deflated Goldi singers.

He said regretfully: ‘Sometimes I do say things and afterwards I go, that’s awful’.
