A source told the The Sun : ‘Una and Tom met through mutual friends and have enjoyed a romantic evening out. It’s early days but he is smitten.’

A representative for Una denied claims they are currently in a romance, but confirmed the pair went out on a date.

They told MailOnline: ‘It’s completely incorrect that she’s in a new relationship.

‘They went on one date a few weeks ago, they are not dating. Una is single and has been since March.’

In March, songstress Una called time on her relationship with sportsman David, 34, after ‘struggling to make things work’ and accepting that ‘they want different things’ and are at different points in their lives.

An insider said at the time: ‘It was a mutual decision — they realised they are at very different stages of their lives and were struggling to make things work properly.

‘She is a mum and ultimately they decided they wanted different things. But Una is keeping positive.’

Una, who announced they were an official couple in Christmas 2018, deleted many recent photos of them together from her Instagram page and ‘is looking forward to turning over a new leaf.’

She previously lived in Northampton, but moved to a town in Birmingham where she lives just doors down from David after their relationship began.

The singer also said that since the move she enrolled her children in new schools and has even found friendships with women in ‘similar situations’ to her.

The couple divorced in July 2018 after six years of marriage when the X Factor: Celebrity star confessed to cheating on Una with PR Becky Milne.

Their split came days before they had planned to move to the US with their two children, which resulted in Ben starting his new life having signed with Rugby United New York on his own.

While the pair are now parents to their first child together, Una and Ben continue to co-parent Aoife and Tadhg.

The media personality recently spoke about how she’s been finding lockdown, detailing to the Sunday Independent: ‘Lockdown was tough for us; much like it’s been for everyone. Despite it generally being a very strange time, we count ourselves lucky to all be safe and well.

‘I feel like the time spent together at home was very precious and we are closer than ever now… the Three Amigos. I also had the experience of home-schooling two kids under eight so that was interesting.

‘It was more the loneliness that both the kids faced not seeing any friends or family for so long – but we had each other and that’s the main thing. I have plans to return to Ireland with the kids in late summer so we are really looking forward to that.’
