MasterChef fans are demanding ONE major change be made for next year’s season

MasterChef fans are demanding ONE major change be made for next year’s season – but do YOU agree?

Viewers have had a bone to pick with the new MasterChef Australia: Back To Win judges from day one.

And now they appear to be threatening to boycott next year’s season unless one major change is implemented on the cooking show.

According to Woman’s Day, frustrated fans want the celebrity panel of experts to be more impartial after concerns they were exhibiting favoritism to certain chefs.

Fans on social media and online forums have suggested that going forward all judging should be done blind.

They claim if judges Melissa Leong, Andy Allen and Jock Zonfrillo were unaware of who made each final dish, they would be less likely to play favourites.

However, this would only appear to work in certain challenges, as the judges walk around the room viewing and smelling what the contestants are concocting in the kitchen ahead of it being presented to them.

There have been many instances this season where fans believed ‘cheating’ or ‘favouritsm’ had occurred.

Viewers singled out MasterChef Australia judge Jock for what they considered his ‘blatant’ bias in favour of Poh last month during a mystery box challenge.

Early in the season, Poh served up a mille-feuille that wowed the judges – but viewers described it as ‘basic’ and ‘just a vanilla slice’.

According to New Idea last month, contestant Tessa Boersman also became frustrated over what she perceived as favouritism by judge Melissa.

MasterChef Australia judge Jock recently denied claims that he shows favouritism to certain contestants on the show.

In a column for Stellar Magazine, the 43-year-old declared: ‘Favouritism is just not a thing. It’s not something we would accept from one another as judges.’

‘At the end of the day, if it tastes rubbish, it tastes rubbish,’ he insisted.
