Influencer Emilee Hembrow believes the death of her unborn son Jamal is a ‘test from God’ as she cuddles her two children and reflects on her grief
Influencer Emilee Hembrow tragically lost her unborn son Jamal at 30 weeks pregnant last month.
And on Sunday, the 28-year-old sister of Tammy Hembrow shared her grief over the loss, posting a photo to Instagram of herself cuddling her two children, daughter Aaliyah, three and son Gabriel, one.
She wrote in the caption: ‘In God I trust that this is my test. I’m content and grateful for everything, my blessings, my losses, my gains, for the good and the bad.’

She explained the loss of her son had ‘changed the way I look at life’.
‘Experiencing a loss like this has truly changed the way I look at life. I’ve learnt many lessons and continue to grow each day that passes,’ she wrote.
Emilee went on to acknowledge the ‘thousands’ of messages she had received from families who’d been through similar experiences.

She also revealed how the love of her family, friends and followers had helped her cope during the extremely emotional time.
‘I have learnt from this that if someone you care for goes through hardship, to be there for them physically and emotionally,’ she said.
‘There is no right or wrong thing you can say, but just being there even without any words has helped tremendously.’

Emilee announced the devastating loss in an Instagram post on June 21, sharing an illustration of a weeping woman kneeling in front of a baby angel.
‘In the name of God, the most merciful the most compassionate. Truly to God we belong and truly to him we shall return. God doesn’t give a person a burden which they can’t not handle in this life,’ she wrote.
‘There is really no test harder that a person can face, than a loss of their child. The bond that is created between the mother and her child, through pregnancy forms the strongest of bonds. God loves those who are patient through hardship.’
Emilee ended the post by saying that she was confident she and her husband would one day be reunited with their little boy.

‘This world is short, and we believe our angel Jamal Reign Ada is waiting at the gates of paradise for mum and dad with open arms. Rest In Peace our little angel,’ she wrote.
Last month, Emilee shared heartbreaking photos from her son’s funeral, including one tragic image of her daughter, Aaliyah, laying flowers on her baby brother’s grave.
She said of the ceremony: ‘We were expecting a baby, but instead God gifted us with the most beautiful guardian angel.’
She added that Jamal would be ‘in our hearts’ forever.
