Jada tweeted: ‘There’s some healing that needs to happen…so I’m bringing myself to The Red Table.’

The actress previously slammed the story that she had an affair with the singer with her husband’s ‘blessing’ as ‘absolutely not true.’

August Alsina set the whole scandal in motion when he told The Breakfast Club’s Angela Yee that he was in love with Jada and had gotten Will’s permission to have an affair.

‘I sat down with Will [Smith] and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership… he gave me his blessing,’ he said.

According to Page Six, it was Will and Jada’s son Jaden, 21, who introduced her to August in 2015.

August claimed the two became very close, and vacationed with the family in Hawaii a year later and they even attended the 2017 BET Awards together.

He said: ‘I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her.

‘I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it, so much so to the point that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody.

‘And I really loved a person, I experienced that and I know what that feels like, and some people never get that in this lifetime.

‘I know that I am completely blessed and this conversation is difficult because it is so much, that it would be hard for people to understand but, once it starts to affect me and my livelihood, I have to speak up about my truth.’

Both Jada and Will have come out denying the story, saying that the sensational tale was untrue. A spokesperson for the Independence Day actor called the allegations ‘wrong.’

August previously denied an affair had taken place in 2019 after his track ‘Nunya’ was released.

Rumors were sparked by the lyrics: ‘You got me feeling like it was an act, you’re just an actress / Putting on a show ’cause you don’t want the world to know.’

The singer claimed he is not speaking out to cause trouble.

He said: ‘Contrary to what people may believe, I am not a troublemaker. I don’t like drama. Drama actually makes me nauseous.

He added: ‘I love those people [the Smiths] literally like my family. I don’t have a bad thing to say about them. They are beautiful people.’

Jada has been married to Will since 1997, they are parents to Jaden and daughter Willow, 19. Will has a son Trey, 27, from his marriage to Sheree Zampino, 53.

The status of their marriage made headlines during a 2013 HuffPost Live interview with Marc Lamont Hill.

‘I’ve always told Will, “You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay,”‘ she told Hill.

‘Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man,’ she continued. ‘I’m here as his partner, but he is his own man. He has to decide who he wants to be and that’s not for me to do for him. Or vice versa.”

Open marriage? In 2013, Jada said during an interview that 'Will can do whatever he wants' prompting headlines that they had an open marriage but she later tried to clarify the statement on Facebook saying 'Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other to do so. This does NOT mean we have an open relationship' (Trey Smith, Willow Smith, Jaden Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith in 2016)

Jada later clarified her comments, saying in a Facebook post: ‘The statement I made in regard to, “Will can do whatever he wants,” has illuminated the need to discuss the relationship between trust and love and how they co-exist…

‘Will and I BOTH can do WHATEVER we want, because we TRUST each other to do so. This does NOT mean we have an open relationship…this means we have a GROWN one. [sic].’

The couple has also previously denied they are swingers during a 2017 interview with Andy Cohen. Then, while talking on Sway’s Universe radio show in 2018 she firmly stated that the pair would never divorce.

‘I’m just, like, keep [the divorce rumours] coming. Here’s the thing about Will and I – [we] are family. That is never going down. It’s just not. Ever.

‘We are family. Take out all that whole marriage/relationship crap, at the end of the day, Will and I are family. I am going to hold him down, doesn’t matter.’

Will has previously said that the couple no longer use the ‘married’ title but refer to each other as ‘life partners’.

Jada has made herself and her family the topic of candid conversations several times on her hit digital talk show.

She recently interviewed Will about his failed first marriage and in a 2018 episode, cried along side Smith’s ex-wife about her hand in the dissolution of their relationship.
