Meanwhile, short-form content provider Quibi has had a less-than-auspicious start, according to the Financial Times on Monday.

The publication called Quibi’s rollout ‘one of the most disastrous US start-up launches of the era’.

Even co-creator Jeffrey Katzenberg told the New York Times that viewership of the service he started with veteran tech executive Meg Whitman was ‘not close to what we wanted’ and blamed coronavirus for their woes.

The service is currently on track to miss its subscriber goal for year one by more than 5 million according to the Wall Street Journal.
