Joanna Chimonides has given her support to Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor amid rumours of a romance between the pair.
The trio all starred together on the fifth series of Love Island and Joanna admitted she reckons Maura and Chris would make a good couple.
Speaking on FUBAR Radio’s Access All Areas, she said: ‘If Chris and Maura are together I mean, that’d be one of the most perfect couples because they actually get along so well!’

Listing off the reasons why they would be the perfect match, she added: ‘They’re both silly, they both like joke around all the time and I think it’d be really cute!’
Maura and Chris have been the focus of romance rumours, after it was reported that they’d enjoyed a enjoyed a cosy weekend locked down together.
Joanna added: ‘I know that Chris lives with Michael and Jordan and that so Maura is always there because they’re all just friends. They’re all like best mates!
‘I don’t know if anything’s gone down before but I know that they’re all just friends and Maura and Chris especially are like best mates.’

In pictures obtained by The Sun, the Love Islanders were seen leaving Maura’s home on Monday, with the funnyman reportedly wearing the same clothes he’d worn two days earlier during a night out together in Essex.
Adding fuel to the fire this weekend, Chris took to Instagram on Saturday to share funny videos of the pair larking around in his car.
Speaking about the duo leaving Maura’s flat on Monday morning, an onlooker told the publication: ‘Chris looked bleary-eyed but he definitely had a spring in his step. He skipped to his car.’
Another source added: ‘Chris seems besotted. And now a lot of people who know them won’t be shocked that it seems to have grown into something more.’
Joanna said: ‘If Chris and Maura are together I mean, that’d be one of the most perfect couples because they actually get along so well!’
Maura’s rep told MailOnline that their friendship is ‘simply platonic’. Chris Taylor’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
Maura has been single since splitting from her Love Island beau Curtis Pritchard earlier this year, while Chris split with Harley Brash shortly after leaving the Love Island villa.
Their relationship speculation comes after Maura herself said that she would consider going back onto Love Island because she ‘needs a man’.
