Love Island’s Montana Brown is said to be dating Waltham Abbey FC footballer Charlie Edwards.

The Love Island star, 24, recently confessed she had met a new man six months after splitting from her model boyfriend Elliott Reeder. 

And now Montana’s mystery beau has been revealed as semi-pro footballer and law graduate Charlie.

The two are said to have met on invite-only dating app Elite and have since gone on a socially-distanced date in the park where they enjoyed a scenic walk.

A source told MailOnline: ‘I know Charlie’s been talking to her for a few weeks – and they went on a date recently.

‘He picked her up and they went for a walk in a park, which I think was near her, and played a bit of tennis.

‘I think they got on well. She’s very funny, I know that.’

Charlie, who is a semi-pro footballer for Waltham Abbey FC, graduated from law school in January.

He is already well involved within the Love Island community as he counts Josh Denzel and Jack Fowler as close friends. He is also followed by Georgia Harrison and Wes Nelson on social media. 

Ex Bishop Stortford FC’s Craig Calver and Stamford Bridge FC’s Matthew Tutt are also among his core group. 

Charlie boasts a well-travelled lifestyle on his Instagram with yacht sailing in Greece, front row seats at Wimbledon, skydiving and skiing trips.

It comes after Montana revealed she is dating a new man under lockdown conditions, six months after her split from her model boyfriend Elliott.  

The Love Island star said earlier this month that she was planning to meet up with her date for a romantic walk in the park.

Talking to pal Joanna Chimonides on FUBAR Radio, she said: ‘We have a light at the end of the tunnel okay. 

‘This guy, we’re going to go on a walk, and he was like, “I’m gonna come pick you up”. He lives like quite far from me and where we’re going is not near me either. 

‘He’s like, “No I’m gonna pick you up. I’m gonna swing by, pick you up. Do you have any allergies? Because I’m gonna grab some food on the way for our walk”.

‘I was like,”Would you like to marry me?!”

And Montana said she doesn’t want a high profile romance as she is ‘craving normality’. 

The television personality revealed: ‘He’s not famous which is actually ideal for me because I’m craving normality.

‘I just want someone who only wants me and not a million other girls… I just want to find a doctor in Sheffield that no one knows, who lives with his grandma or something, got a farm maybe, and that’s me sorted.’
