She’s amassed over seven million Instagram followers with her self-deprecating sense of humour, but Celeste Barber was happy just to blend in during a low-key lunch date with her husband, Api Robin, on Sunday.

The 38-year-old comedian and Api, who she’s affectionately dubbed ‘hot husband’, enjoyed lunch together at the Three Blue Ducks cafe at The Farm in Byron Bay.

The couple stepped out without their two young sons, making the most of their alone time as they strolled across the grounds of the Byron Bay hotspot.

Celeste was dressed casually, stepping out in a pair of cropped black exercise tights, which she teamed with a white sweatshirt patterned with black splotches.

She also wore pale grey high top sneakers and shielded her eyes behind a pair of tortoiseshell cat-eye sunglasses.

Her bobbed brunette hair was tied back in a low ponytail, and she appeared makeup free.

Meanwhile, an equally casual Api walked alongside her, dressed in black pants, which he paired with an olive green T-shirt.

He rounded out his ensemble with a pair of black slip-on sandals, a baseball cap and black sunglasses.

At one stage, the couple stopped to pick up some sunflowers, with Api taking a seat on a wooden bench as Celeste stood holding the bouquets of flowers.

Api regularly features on his wife’s Instagram page, where she satirise celebrities, many of who are fans of hers.

In an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly this month, Celeste spoke about meeting her now-husband while working in a pub in Sydney’s Balmain, and said it was love at first sight.

‘I smiled and freaked out and that was it for me. I went, “Oh God, I’m screwed.” He’s banging hot but it was just a connection instantly and he’s the same. He’s like, “You smiled and your eyes blew my mind.” It was so awesome,’ she recounted.
