Celebrity Big Brother fans expressed their shock at how the show managed to land Donald Trump’s ex wife Ivana Trump as a housemate.
The socialite, 71, appeared on the 2010 series of the show and viewers were treated to a trip down memory lane during Tuesday’s episode of Big Brother: Best Ever Shows.
TV bosses were undoubtedly hoping Ivana would divulge the details of her relationship with President Trump, 74, who she was married to from 1977 to 1991.

As hosts Davina McCall and Rylan Clark said it was ‘mad’ to think the US president’s former partner was in the house, fans of the series agreed.
Ivana quickly began trending on Twitter, with one fan writing: ‘Ivana Trump OMFG what a booking’.
Another said: ‘We still can’t believe Ivana Trump was in that house’, while another added: ‘How did I forget Ivana Trump was in bloody CBB?’
Another viewer wrote: ‘CBB7 wasn’t really my fav series but Ivana Trump entering the house was definitely a gag because it was so unexpected’.

Reminiscing on her entrance into the house, Davina said: ‘It’s mad now to look back when you think Trump is in power and she was in there and the stuff she was talking about.’
Rylan agreed, adding: ‘The fact she even walked into that house, I think everyone’s jaw dropped’.
Former Big Brother 2006 housemate Glyn Wise said he met Ivana after her stint in the house, adding she couldn’t have been nicer.

He said: ‘I met Ivana Trump on #BBLB. The only celebrity I am completely gutted I didnt ask for an autograph. Beautiful woman inside & out.’
Ivana was a late arrival to the series, entering the house on day 6 during a magician task where R&B singer Sisqo opened a box to reveal she was inside.
The star went onto reach the semi-final, being evicted from the house on Day 25, just two days before Katie Price’s ex Alex Reid was crowned the winner.

Other stars who took part in the show, the last celebrity series on Channel 4, included Vinnie Jones, Dane Bowers, Stephen Baldwin and Lady Sovereign.
Ivana and Donald Trump were married from April 7, 1977 to March 22, 1992 and share three kids together – Don Jr, 42, Ivanka, 38, and Eric Trump, 36.
The couple were staples of New York high society during their marriage, with Ivana becoming the Vice President of Interior Design at The Trump Organisation.
Ivana made an allegation of rape against her ex husband during their divorce proceedings in the 1990s.

However, in a statement provided by Donald Trump and his lawyers, Ivana said she had used the word ‘rape’ but did not ‘want [her] words to be interpreted in a literal or criminal sense’.
Later, the former model claimed the allegations she made against her ex husband were just ‘lawyer’s stuff’.
On the allegations, Trump’s former lawyer and special counsel at The Trump organisation Michael Cohen said in 2015: ‘It’s not the word you’re trying to make it into.
‘She felt raped emotionally… She was not referring to it [as] a criminal matter, and not in its literal sense, though there’s many literal senses to the word.’

During an interview on Good Morning Britain in January 2018, she said: ‘During divorce it was nasty because lawyers were involved once it was over we became friends.’
When host Susa nna Reid asked her about the allegations, Ivana said: ‘It was the lawyers’ stuff, he never touched me badly no screaming, slamming the doors it was just question of the money.’
More recently, Ivana has been in a relationship with on-again, off-again boyfriend Rossano Rubicondi, 47.
