Peter Andre shares ‘the ultimate throwback’ with his brother Michael and their late sibling Andrew

Peter Andre shared what he branded ‘the ultimate throwback’ on Monday, as he posted a picture with his brothers Micheal and Andrew to Instagram.

The TV star, 47, uploaded the snap from what looked to be the 1980s, where the tio sported loud, baggy shirts, high-waisted slacks with black belts and epic mops of hair.

Peter – who lost brother Andrew eight years ago to kidney cancer – captioned the snap: ‘The ultimate throwback of ours. Me my brother @mrmichaelandre1 and our late brother Andrew.

‘Our usual clowning around. Man I miss you brother.’

He added: ‘Yeah we were picked on and outcast for years but we also had some amazing times and are friends now with so many of the people that didn’t like us.

‘Life is strange sometimes and way way way too short.’

In May, Peter remembered his late brother eight years after tragically losing him, when he shared a post to his Instagram on what would have been his brother’s 62nd birthday.

He shared: ‘Happy Birthday to my brother RIP. Thinking of you every day until we meet again.’

The family suffered the devastating loss of Andrew back in 2012 following a brief battle with kidney cancer.

A spokesperson told the Daily Mirror at the time: ‘Peter is devastated. He was very, very, very close to his brother. This is the first family member Peter has experienced losing.’

Last year the dad-of-four admitted he advised his wife Emily to end their relationship following the tragic loss.

In an interview, the TV personality detailed his partner’s support throughout the difficult time and confessed he misjudged grief for another bout of the depression, following his first battle with the mental health issue in the late 90s.

Following his loss, he reconsidered his romance with NHS worker Emily who he was dating for just under a year at the time.

Reflecting on the low period in his life, the singer told The Guardian: ‘I said “You can either stay and stick with me through this, which personally I wouldn’t, or you can go.”‘

Despite his suggestions, Emily proved to be in the relationship for the long run as she said: ‘It’s not even a question. We’re going to get through it together.’

The 30-year-old medical professional has continued to work during the coronavirus crisis, leaving her husband at home to look after their two children; daughter Amelia, six, and son Theo, three.

Sharing her experience of being on the frontline, Emily says she feels ‘lucky’ she can rely on Peter to take over at home and is overwhelmed by the ‘kindness’ people have shown to healthcare staff in recent weeks.

Writing for The Sun, Emily explained how she leaves the house at 7.30am every day, without seeing the kids, to work long shifts due to hospitals seeing increasing numbers of unwell patients and NHS staff falling sick.

‘I think I speak for many NHS and key workers when I say it’s a very anxious time at the moment,’ Emily said.

Highlighting that her anxiety increases when she thinks about the risks her still working for the NHS could have on her and her family, Emily says her job has been made easier by the ‘overwhelming’ kindness people have shown medical staff.

‘The number of kind gestures I have seen is overwhelming. People bringing in food for hospital workers, offering them places to stay or simply just words of encouragement,’ she added.
