Ja Rule slings the ‘best motherf***ing gyros’ in viral low-budget commercial for Greek deli

Ja Rule’s track record for spotting a good business opportunity is spotty at best – the Fyre Festival debacle is not soon to be forgotten – but his new partnership with a Greek deli is a sensation.

The 44-year-old rapper, born Jeffrey Bruce Atkins, filmed a hysterical low-budget commercial for Papa Cristo’s Greek Grill, a local Los Angeles deli as part of a new TBS series.

The commercial is going viral on social media and garnering a lot of reaction from people on social media, including his long time nemesis 50 Cent who notoriously trolls his fellow rapper.

Opa! Ja Rule is starring in a low-budget commercial for a local Los Angeles Greek deli for an upcoming TBS show and the video has gone viral Monday

‘Slap your momma!’ Ja exclaims at the beginning of the commercial.

The Livin’ it Up rapper is dressed in black sweatpants, a backwards black baseball hat and a black T-shirt with the words ‘I [heart] Greece’ written on the front.

Shot in front of a green screen, the spot see Ja extolling the delights of Papa Cristo’s while images of pitas, gyros and sizzling spits turning with meat flash behind him.

Papa Cristo’s has the ‘best motherf***ing gyros you’ve ever eaten in your life,’ Ja Rule enthusiastically tells viewers.

In front of shots from inside the restaurant, Ja takes a bag of pita bread and tosses the round disks in the air telling people that, of course, Papa Cristo’s has pita.

He then rattles off a list of some of his favorite dishes – oktapodakia, avgolemono soup, and kreatopita – but hysterically can’t pronounce them properly.

‘You can’t even pronounce the food, it’s so go**amn good!’ he shouts with a smile.

The video has gone viral on social media with one person saying it is the ‘single greatest work of art to emerge in 2020.’

They added that Ja is now ‘forgiven’ for his role as one of the organizers behind the nightmare that was the 2017 Fyre Festival.

Ja took to social media to share some behind the scenes shots of how it was filmed – in his own backyard – and thanked fans for all the attention.
