Tennis star Rafael Nadal goes shirtless as he takes to the waves on a jetski during sun-soaked holiday in Ibiza

He’s been enjoying some downtime with his wife Xisca Perello as Spain eases its coronavirus lockdown.

And Rafael Nadal kept the good times rolling as he treated himself to a jetskiing session on a sun-soaked getaway in Ibiza on Saturday.

The tennis player, 34, displayed his toned upper body as he took to the waves during a well-deserved break from his career amid the pandemic.

Opting for comfort, the sportsman topped up on his tan as he wore just a pair of pink swimming trunks.

The Grand Slam champion was in good company as he joined his male friends, who watched his impressive water skills from a large boat.

In recent weeks, the athlete has been taking his luxury €2.6million catamaran yacht out for day trips in Mallorca.

The media personality tied the knot to his childhood sweetheart girlfriend of 14 years last year.

Xisca, born Maria Francisca Perello, is an insurance worker and business graduate, and also serves as a project director for the Rafa Nadal Foundation, the charity he founded almost ten years ago.

Nadal has made no secret of his desire to have children, saying he is a ‘family guy’ and is looking forward to having his own brood in the not too distant future.

But the dedicated sports star admitted his career has made it difficult to think about starting a family until now.

He said on talk show Con Amigos Asi back in August: ‘I would love to have children, boys, girls… I’m a person who loves kids and I’m a family guy.

‘But also I tell you that the reality is, the years keep passing, I would like to start to do all of this when my sporting life determines it.’
