In pain: Nadine Coyle received a freak injury on Saturday when she hurt her neck while whipping her hair

A forlorn looking Nadine told fans she was in pain as she posed with a makeshift heat pack around her neck.

She said: ‘The hair flipping eventually got me. I am sofa bound with a sore neck!! I hope you are all well lovely ones. My mammy heated up a towel in the tumble dryer as a makeshift heat pack.’

An hour later a make-up free Nadine managed to get hold of a proper heat pad for her neck.

She added: ‘Upgrade. Whip your hair with care guys. Don’t be a hero. Face is thick with moisturiser, hair is still wet. I’m stuck but feeling very fortunate.’

It comes after Nadine celebrated her 35th birthday in lockdown last week.

The star revealed that she likes nothing better than a crisp sandwich and suggested she’d put out the ingredients for one at her next birthday bash.

The singer also recently confirmed that Girls Aloud are in early reunion talks.

Nadine hinted that the girl band, who split in 2013, could be set to come together once more to mark two decades since they burst onto the music scene.

And it’s said the five piece, consisting of Nadine, Kimberly Walsh, Cheryl, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding, could bag millions if they embark on a nationwide tour, while there’s a possibility of also releasing new music.

It’s well documented that things have not been entirely amicable within the band, with Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberly forming a close friendship, while Sarah and Nadine were distant from the trio.

However, Nadine has hinted that the girls have patched up their differences and are ready to reunite again.

Confirming that there’s been talks of a reunion, Nadine told The Sun: ‘There’s been loads of conversations and people now are getting in contact, like, ‘What do we do?’ It’s still early.’

While she said on Angela Scanlon’s Thanks A Million podcast: ‘I’m 34 years old so to think that I’ve been doing anything for 20 years is shocking, isn’t it?’
