Amanda Kloots reveals ‘silver lining’ of having her dad and brother help with baby son Elvis

Amanda Kloots is surrounding herself with her loved ones this Father’s Day, and her husband Nick Cordero as he continues to fight for his life against coronavirus complications.

On Saturday, Amanda shared some ‘proud dad’ moments including a picture of Nick taking home their baby son Elvis from the hospital, and said that since he has been sick her brother and father have helped raise their little boy.

‘It is a silver lining in all of this that we are all together and will celebrate Fathers Day for Nick with everyone,’ the 38-year-old fitness instructor wrote.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Amanda shared an adorable video of Elvis being bounced around on her father’s knee as they celebrated the special day together at home.

Amanda has not been able to visit her husband due to COVID-19 safety guidelines, but posted a picture of Friday that showed her holding Nick’s hand from the ICU at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

Amanda posted the poignant lyrics to the Andy Grammer “Don’t Give Up On Me” along with the hashtag #Day79 accompanying the moving picture of their hands together.

She also posted a ‘Hallelujah’ GIF over her post, and another one of Cedars-Sinai which she captioned: ‘Everyday.’

Amanda has previously posted that she was unable to visit her husband in the ICU due to visitor restriction, but it seems that a special allowance was made.

Yesterday, Amanda revealed that Nick has lost 65lbs during his COVID-19 battle and can only answer questions with his eyes because he’s too ‘weak’ to move or speak.

‘He still can’t move and his muscles are definitely atrophying,’ Amanda said during an Instagram Live Q&A session on Wednesday.

‘What’s so heartbreaking is he’s so weak,’ said the former Broadway dancer in the candid chat.

‘He can’t speak unfortunately. He can’t really even move, you guys. That’s how weak he is,’ added Amanda.

‘He looks up, he looks down, he looks left and right. And he answers questions, yes and no questions. A yes is looking up and no looks down.’

She said she’s also spoken to Nick about his amputated leg, which was lost due to blood clots, but isn’t sure the Bullets Over Broadway star understands the appendage is gone.

‘I have told him about his leg, and I’ve told him about the amazing prosthetics that are available now, and I told him that he’s gonna be fine.’

But, she admitted, ‘It is hard when I’m talking to Nick to understand exactly what he’s understanding.’

She also disclosed that despite Nick’s improvements, the road to recovery will be a long one.

‘After Nick gets out of the hospital, ’cause he is getting out of this hospital, he would go to a rehab center and probably be at a rehab center for a year before even coming home,’ said Amanda.

The entrepreneur has been keeping a brave face for her 326,000 Instagram followers as Nick recovers from coronavirus complications.

The couple most recently faced another obstacle, as she revealed that he’s not a candidate for a lung transplant.
