Celebrity Big Brother fans to relive George Galloway’s toe-curling 2006 cat impression in upcoming Best Shows Ever

It’s already been an epic trip down memory lane for die-hard fans.

But Celebrity Big Brother fans will have to relive one of the show’s infamous moments through gritted teeth, as the show is set to re-air George Galloway’s infamous 2006 cat impression.

The toe-curling scenes saw the Scottish politician offer an eerily accurate impression of a furry feline for a task, leaving fans cringing to this day.

Horrific: Celebrity Big Brother fans will have to relive one of the show’s infamous moments through gritted teeth, as E4 are set to re-air George Galloway’s infamous cat impression

Former Labour MP George, now 65, was tasked with doing the impression to win treats for the house.

He famously asked Rula Lensky: ‘Would you like me to be the cat?’ before launching into the impression.

As well as re-enacting a cat’s purr with ease, George pretended to munch food from Rula’s hands, and left many viewers horrified with the performance.

The 2006 episode – which also starred late Pete Burns, Michael Barrymore and eventual winner Chantelle Houghton – will air on Sunday night to kick off the second week of Big Brother’s Best Shows Ever.

George became one of that series’ most memorable stars, but found himself in trouble on numerous occasions for repeatedly breaking rules about discussing nominations.

He was finally evicted on Day 21, just two days before the final, along with basketball player Dennis Rodman.

Next week’s specials will also include Big Brother 2002’s Rich/Poor divide on Monday, CBB 2010’s Tree Of Temptation on Tuesday, 2005’s hilarious Box Task on Wednesday and 2001’s iconic blinking moment on Thursday.

This is the second show from Celebrity Big Brother’s 2006 series to be re-aired, after fans got to relive Chantelle’s cringe-worthy performance of her ‘chart-topping’ single I Want It All.

Hosted by Davina McCall and Rylan Clark-Neal, the episodes are airing to commemorate the iconic reality show’s 20th Anniversary.

Big Brother: Best Shows Ever continues on Sunday at 9pm on E4.
