Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield claims ’40 per cent of men are paedophiles’

The Bachelor’s Abbie Chatfield makes an extraordinary claim that ’40 per cent of men are PAEDOPHILES’

Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield made an extraordinary claim on Thursday.

In an Instagram Story post, the 24-year-old made the bold statement that ’40 per cent of men are paedophiles’.

‘I’ve been saying for weeks, nay months, that 40 per cent of men are paedophiles,’ she claimed.

‘F***ing quote me on it,’ Abbie continued. ‘Maybe it’s 40 per cent of men in power, maybe it’s 40 per cent of white men in power, maybe it’s 40 per cent of celebrities.

‘But there is a stat somewhere that almost half [of men] are f***ed.’

When a male follower asked Abbie why she was so ‘cynical’, she claimed in another Instagram Story: ‘Because I would say at least half of the women I know have a story about a man 15 years older than them messaging them when they were a teenager.’

Abbie added that it’s ‘interesting’ men are the only ones ‘denying this claim’.

The Queensland-based star rose to fame on Matt Agnew’s 2019 season of The Bachelor.

She is set to return to screens in spin-off Bachelor In Paradise, and has since become an influencer and podcast host.

Abbie was portrayed as a ruthless temptress on The Bachelor last year in counterpoint to girl-next-door (and eventual winner) Chelsie McLeod.

She told New Idea this week that she’s concerned she will be edited as the ‘sexy villain’ once again when season three of Bachelor In Paradise debuts.

‘I already am worried about how the edits are going to go,’ Abbie said.

She added: ‘I think when you’re on TV, you’re a one-dimensional character. And my character was overtly sexual and confident, and to a lot of people that equals b***h.’
