A former Kyle and Jackie O Show staff member now lives on Norfolk Island – and her reason for doing so is almost too strange to believe.
On Thursday morning, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson revealed that their former censor had quit her job years ago after injuring her hand.
The pair, who are known for their bawdy on-air discussions, implied the injury had been caused by repetitive strain from having to press the censor button so often.

The ex-employee left Sydney after quitting The Kyle and Jackie O Show and moved to Norfolk Island, a tiny island in the South Pacific Ocean with a population of just 1,748 people as of 2016.
The controversial breakfast show has been embroiled in multiple scandals over the years, making a full-time censor absolutely necessary.
Last year, Kyle came under fire for making vulgar comments about the Virgin Mary.
After receiving backlash for the blasphemous blunder, he later issued an eight- minute apology on air.

However, Jackie has insisted that she and Kyle hate getting into scandals and causing controversy.
She told 60 Minutes last month: ‘At the time, I remember people saying, “Oh, this is what they want. They want people to talk about them. They want to be scandalous. They plan to do those things.”
‘And I swear to you, we’ve never planned [it]. When they happen, it is not nice and we hate it. I hate it personally.’

Jackie went on to say that she ‘worried’ about Kyle and that he may one day say something that ends their careers.
‘That is probably the hardest part when working with Kyle, is that he has this really beautiful side. And then with that comes this other side that you just think, “Oh no, why do you have to say that? Why?” I don’t know why I get nervous for him,’ she said.
Turning to Kyle, Jackie added: ‘Because I’m always worried you’re going to say something that will one day just ruin you.’
