What happened to Mike Goldman since Big Brother was axed six years ago?

He was the narrator for Big Brother Australia for 13 years.

But what happened to Mike Goldman after he recorded his last season for Channel Nine in 2014?

Daily Mail Australia can reveal the 47-year-old has kept working in the industry – and you’ve likely heard his voice without even realising it.

Whatever happened to Mike Goldman? Big Brother’s original narrator spoke to Daily Mail Australia this week about his career since the reality show last aired on Nine six years ago

Mike was an integral part of Big Brother; he narrated the program, hosted his own spin-off series, Up Late, and assisted with live evictions.

While he hasn’t returned tone , he has been offered plenty of voice-over work since 2014, and it’s now his main source of income.

He’s done work for Discovery and National Geographic documentaries, and also appeared in adverts for Rebel, Telstra and Coles.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Mike said: ‘I’ve never considered leaving the entertainment industry. Mum and dad were both in the industry and school wasn’t my thing, so this was always where I would be landing.’ 

He is the son of late television and radio personality Grant Goldman and Channel Seven weather girl and Miss Australian Beach Girl Erica Hammond.

Mike has also landed several acting roles in recent years.

‘I had a little part in The Wilds for Amazon Prime and Wentworth at the start of the year. Blink and you’ll miss me. Later this year, I have a spot on Clickbait for Netflix,’ he said.

After the coronavirus pandemic hit, Mike started working as a professional Joe Exotic impersonator on the Cameo app.

He also has his own podcast series, Mike on The Mike, and owns a live-streaming company called Everything Live.

Mike said he was shocked when Big Brother was axed in 2014, but was never once concerned about his career.

‘Big Brother was only ever three months of the year. It was never my main thing. But it was by far the most fun,’ he said.

He may no longer be the voice of Big Brother, but Mike is hosting his own recap series, The Big Bro Show.

‘The show is the greatest Big Brother show that’s not a Big Brother show,’ he said. ‘When we hit over a gazillion views on our episodes, I was so stoked.’
