Guy put Kelly in an awkward position on Monday when he tried to encourage the former Destiny’s Child songstress to recruit a hopeful he had turned for, but appeared to have no intentions of mentoring himself as his team was already full.

The incident still appears to be sore point for the coaches as they share a heated clash during the battle rounds.

Billed as the show’s ‘most controversial battles’, Kelly is seen angrily addressing the former Australian Idol winner: ‘I’m not going back and forth with you, Guy!’

'No, you’re disrespectful!' Kelly leaves the stage as she turns back to point towards Guy as angrily yell in his direction

Guy is also seen saying ‘it’s so disrespectful’ in the teaser.

The comment appears to be aimed at Kelly, as it prompts her to dramatically walk off the set towards the backstage area.

The drama between the pair started when Guy turned his chair for contestant Wolf Winters on Monday night.

This decision led to a showdown between Guy and Kelly, and things became so heated a producer was forced to step in.

‘Wait, you can’t do that!’ Kelly cried out, prompting fellow coach Boy George to say: ‘You’re full. You can’t have this man anyway.’

Guy then tried to encourage Kelly to recruit Wolf, to which she replied: ‘I’m looking for something specific. How’re you going to tell me what to look for my team?’

‘You’re cheating. You are cheating!’ she complained, as a producer suddenly stepped in to break up the fracas.

‘The problem we have is that unless we get Kelly to take him, we potentially have to tell him that he’s not through anymore,’ the producer explained.

It was eventually decided that Guy could have Wolf despite already having a full team, but would lose two of his singers in the battle rounds.

Fans at home found the whole thing distasteful, with one tweeting: ‘How did Guy’s chair turn? I thought they can’t turn it your team is full.’
