Shia LaBeouf rocks a vintage heavy metal T-shirt while stopping to fill up his pickup truck

Shia LaBeouf looked as if he was ready to rock out while out in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 34-year-old Honey Boy actor had on a vintage heavy metal T-shirt while he dropped by a gas station to fill up his matte black pickup truck.

He showed off a casual rugged look with the black shirt featuring the metal group Dokken from their 1987 album Back For The Attack.

Shia paired the shirt with a set of frayed charcoal shorts that showed off his muscular legs.

He added rugged tan boots and kept the sun out of his eyes with a black baseball cap.

The Peanut Butter Falcon star sported the thick beard he has worn in recent weeks, though he was careful to put on a surgical-style mask to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus when he went inside the convenience store.

He appeared to buy a charging cord, which he unraveled on his way back to his truck.

Shia got some good news last month, when his new film The Tax Collector was acquired by AMC Networks division RLJE Films and slated for an August release.

In the film, his character works for a drug lord as a ‘tax collector’ who picks up his boss’ cut from local drug dealers.

But when a rival kingpin upends his employers business, Shia’s character has to scramble to keep himself alive and protect his family.

Absent from Shia’s workout was his wife Mia Goth, who often accompanies him for runs or bike rides around their neighborhood.

The couple met in 2012 while filming Lars von Trier’s two-part sexual epic Nymphomaniac, and they married in October 2016 in a Las Vegas ceremony complete with an Elvis impersonator.

But the marriage soured, and the couple separated in September 2018 and filed for divorce.

The Peanut Butter Falcon star hinted at a reconciliation in February, when he made an appearance on the Oscars stage wearing his wedding ring, but the couple didn’t make their reunion official until they were spotted kissing in March.

In late April, Shia infuriated some undiscovered writers after he won the Sun Valley Film Festival’s High Scribe award.

The award is usually given to emerging talents with few industry connections, which made it so unusual it went to  that someone who had already starred in dozens of films, including multiple blockbusters, and had already written a successful independent film.

‘Any “screenwriting competition” that awards its top prize to an established Hollywood screenwriter doesn’t deserve your $50,’ wrote screenwriter Kyle Andrews on Twitter.

‘Not to take anything from the guy at all, he’s a great artist, but for a company to take money from hardworking, undiscovered screenwriters looking to break in and give their top prize to SHIA FREAKING LEBOUF is a level of b***sy I can’t begin to comprehend,’ he continued.

‘Honestly I’m kinda livid about this. I know how these companies operate, this was a choice. They’re thirsty for recognition because they can’t get it on their own, and I hope writers can see it.’

Shia was previously praised for his film Honey Boy, a semi-autobiographical story of his time as a child actor.

He was praised for the film’s screenplay, as well as his performance as his own abusive father.
