‘You were the oldest artist we’d ever had on the show, and you came on the show saying you wanted to work with me because you saw me and you saw my heart.’

She added tearfully: ‘In this moment, I’d love to be your coach as the woman that I’ve become.’

Steve chose an excited Delta to be his coach once again, telling her, “We’ve got to finish what we started.”

All four coaches were impressed with the Steve’s performance, with fellow coaches Boy George and Guy Sebastian telling him they would’ve turned around too if they’d had space on their teams.

‘Lots to talk about. I love you,’ he told her, before walking away.
