David Schwimmer’s ‘non-conformist’ daughter Cleo, 9, gets head shaved

Intelligence star David Schwimmer’s nine-year-old daughter Cleo decided to shave her head at her Brooklyn home on Saturday amid a climate of historic activism.

In fact, it was the 53-year-old SAG Award winner’s ex-wife Zoë Buckman, who did the honors on their third grader.

The 35-year-old English artist shared a slideshow of herself using clippers to remove little Cleo’s shoulder-length brunette locks.

‘The world is saying “[burn] it down and rebuild” and the babies are listening,’ Zoë wrote to her 43K Instagram followers.

‘I see how kids today challenge norms and standards in a way that we didn’t, and that, amongst other things, gives me hope!’

Buckman’s post received glowing comments from her famous fellow Brits – singer Paloma Faith, presenter Amanda de Cadenet, and The Good Fight actress Cush Jumbo.

David’s privileged princess first showed signs of ‘drumming to her own rhythm’ when she chose to trick or treat on Halloween wearing a Big Hero 6 Baymax costume.

Zoë commented at the time: ‘Non-conformist like your Nana!’

Back in 2018, Schwimmer said on Megyn Kelly TODAY that he taught Cleo to stand up for herself against bullies or harassment.

‘With my daughter, it’s more about just knowing it’s your body and your space,’ the Northwestern University grad explained.

‘It’s more about personal space and building confidence in her to speak out and speak up if anything she encounters makes her feel uncomfortable, period.

‘Her body, her hair, it’s hers. She owns it. It’s giving her the courage and confidence to speak up and speak out…It’s important to instill that kind of confidence from an early age.’

‘We are angry and appalled by the shocking indifference of our President, and [we] demand a better future for our children. All of our children. It is not enough to be opposed to racism. We must be actively opposed to it.’

The two-time Emmy nominee will next attend HBO Max’s Friends reunion, which was postponed from May 27 to ‘the end of summer’ in Burbank – according to Variety.

David portrayed paleontologist-turned-professor Dr. Ross Geller for 10 seasons on the entirely-Caucasian NBC ensemble sitcom, which concluded in 2004.
