Michelle Keegan admits she is a ‘bit rough around the edges’ when compared to husband Mark Wright… but laments him for ‘leaving his dirty pants on the floor’

She never fails to impress with her glamorous red carpet ensembles.

Yet Michelle Keegan has jokingly admitted that she is ‘a bit rough’ in comparison to husband Mark Wright having grown up in a world of ‘petty crime.’ 

The actress, 33, did admit that while there are some things her husband, 33, ‘can’t relate to,’ she is forever lamenting his failure to pick up his dirty undies off the floor.

Speaking with The Mirror, the Our Girl actress shared: ‘I’d definitely say I am the bit of rough. I’d like to say a bit of posh totty but I’m not!’

Michelle was raised in Manchester however now resides in a £1.3 million mansion in Essex with her beau.   

She told the publication: ‘When I tell my husband stories of how I’ve grown up, he can’t relate to it. I like it though, yeah, it’s a badge of honour. You’re from Up North, you’ve got to be a tiny bit rough round the edges. That’s the charm!’

The star also revealed: ‘I’ve grown up around that sort of petty crime, getting into trouble and trying to get out of it. What’s funny is my dad was an inspector in the police, so I was known as the grass.’

When speaking with The Sun, the northern beauty also dished on her husband’s laundry habits, and revealed she won’t pick up his pants.

Michelle said: ‘When he leaves his pants on the floor, I won’t move them. They can stay there for a few days at a time — until he works out that they need to be picked up.’  

On Thursday, Michelle was back at work and she didn’t need to leave the house.

The star recorded a radio play and documented the moment on Instagram stories.

Wearing an oversized grey hoodie, she wrote; ‘Recording a radio play without being in the studio. The future.’ 

Michelle looked naturally beautiful in the snap, pulling her raven haired locks off her face and tying them up in a golden scrunchie.

Earlier that day, she took to Instagram to celebrate the series two finale of her show Brassic.

The actress shared snaps from behind-the-scenes of the Sky show, larking around with her castmates.

She posed with the likes of co-stars Aaron Blu Heffernan, Ryan Sampson, Parth Thakerar, Damien Molony and Joanna Higson.

Shooting has not been able to start on the third run of episodes, due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
