John Legend looks handsomely stylish in a blue suit during video shoot for his new album Bigger Love

John Legend’s much-anticipated new album, Bigger Love, is poised to drop on June 19.

And with the date fast approaching, the 11-time Grammy Award winner was spotted looking handsomely stylish while shooting a new video in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles on Saturday. 

The 41-year-old musician and the film crew all made sure to practice proper health precautions, amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, by wearing masks and keeping a safe distance between each other.

The Ohio native arrived on set wearing a brown mask dressed in black skinny jeans with a black and burgundy floral shirt and black sneakers.

But soon after he slipped into his impeccably cool blue suit that was paired with a crisp white shirt and white shoes.

With his band and backup dancers flanking him at times, Legend could be seen busting out some moves as he lip-synched along to the song in the outdoor setting.

One of the scenes saw the singer standing in front of his band and dancers on a cement staircase.

At one point during the shoot the All Of Me star had a wardrobe change and switched into cream-colored slacks and a matching button-down shirt with polka dots.

Calling his new album ‘a labor of love’, Legend shared the inspiration behind the batch of new tunes.

‘The songs are inspired by the loves of my life: my wife, my family and the rich tradition of black music that has made me the artist I am,’ he wrote in an Instagram post on Friday.

He also revealed the songs were written before the world got rocked by the coronavirus crisis and the widespread protests following the police killing of George  Floyd in Minneapolis.

‘I’m under no illusion that music can save the world or solve the world’s problems, but I’ve always turned to music to help me through tough times and I know many of you have done the same. That’s why I couldn’t wait to release this album to the world,’ he said with and abundance of emotion.

He revealed Bigger Love ‘is a celebration of love, joy, sensuality, hope, and resilience, the things that make our culture so beautiful and influential.’

Legend will be performing some of the new songs when he hosts a Father’s Day special on ABC on Sunday, June 21.

‘Some of us may wonder if it’s okay to laugh right now,’ he shared in a statement about the show dubbed, John Legend And Family: A Bigger Love Father’s Day. 

‘But music and humor have always lifted our spirits during tough times. This special celebrates love and the connection to the ones you care about most. I hope it brings joy and laughter into everyone’s homes this Father’s Day.’

The program, which airs at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. C, will blend live musical performances with some much-needed levity and touching moments, and plenty of surprises.

It will also feature the likes of Anthony Anderson, Ike Barinholtz, Common, Michael Ealy, Jim Gaffigan, Stevie Wonder, among many others.
