Woman ‘launches racial assault against Asian dogwalker by spitting at him and kicking his beloved pet in the head’

A woman has been arrested for racial assault after shocking footage emerged of her spitting on an Asian dogwalker and kicking his pet in the head.
The distressing clip, which has been circulating on social media, shows the 51-year-old walking towards the man and attempting to spit on his face twice in Hob Moor, Yorkshire at around 8.10pm on Tuesday.
The woman, who continues to taunt her victim as he walks away from her, then kicks his Shiba Inu in the face before she is knocked to the ground by the incensed owner.
During the clip, the woman, who is seen wearing a striped jumper, black trousers and a dark hat, approaches the dogwalker and appears to launch a string of taunts.

She then spits in his face before following him through the park and attempting to spit on him again.
As the man walks away from her, the enraged woman kicks his dog in the face as passers-by gasp and some are heard shouting: ‘Oh my god!’
She is then immediately knocked to the ground by the animal’s owner as crowds of youths in park stare in disbelief and remain motionless.
North Yorkshire Police later confirmed the woman was arrested at 2.25pm yesterday on suspicion of racially-aggravated assault and for causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
She was also questioned on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drugs.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: ‘A woman has been arrested in connection with an attack on a man and his dog on Hob Moor in York yesterday.

‘Our officers arrested the 51-year-old woman at an address in York at 2.25pm this afternoon.
‘She was arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated assault and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, in connection with the incident on the evening of Tuesday 9 June 2020.
‘She was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drugs. She remains in custody at this time, while our enquiries continue.’
