Janet Roach confirms that The Real Housewives of Melbourne won’t resume filming until JANUARY… and reveals the one former Housewife who is set to return to the series

The fifth season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne has been delayed yet again.

Original cast member Janet Roach told Ticker TV’s Jumpstart this week that filming was scheduled to resume in July, but has now been pushed back until January, 2021.

‘We were supposed to start filming the first week of July – I had all my summer wardrobe ready!’ the 61-year-old told hosts Alana Maclean and Benjamin Norris.

The Raw Essentials founder also confirmed that Jackie Gillies will return to the series at some stage in the future.

Jackie officially quit the show ahead of season five to focus on starting IVF with her husband Ben Gillies, but according to Janet, the delay in filming could see the psychic back on RHOM by the time production resumes next year.

The fourth season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne finished airing in February, 2018.

They were replaced by former CNN news anchor Anjali Rao, yoga teacher Cherry Dipietrantonio and ‘champagne educator’ Kyla Kirkpatrick.

The trio had started filming their backstories for season five this year before production was halted for the first time due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Janet, along with Gamble Breaux, Gina Liano, Lydia Schiavello are all due to return for season five.

In February, Gamble hinted that season five would follow her feud with former friend Gina.

‘I’ve not seen [Gina] since we filmed the reunion show,’ Gamble told Foxtel.

‘I thought about getting in touch, but I would rather our relationship [plays out] over the season, in front of the cameras.’
