Reese Witherspoon, 44, praises her son Tennessee, seven, for graduating from the 2nd grade: ‘So proud of my littlest guy’

Reese Witherspoon shared a snap of her son Tennessee, aged seven, hitting his latest milestone on Thursday.

‘Second grade or bust!! Happy Graduation! So proud of my littlest guy,’ the 44-year-old Oscar winner captioned an Instagram of her youngest child holding a sign in their backyard.

In addition to reflecting on her elementary school student growing up, Reese garnered a number of comments from her celebrity pals from Halle Berry to Sara Blakely.

Proud mama: Reese Witherspoon gushed over her 7½-year-old son James, who adorably held a sign, which read: ‘Second grade or bust!’

‘Congratulations little man!’ the Catwoman wrote in the comment section, as a number of Witherspoon’s followers noted Tennessee’s striking resemble to his mother.

As the mother-son duo continue to practice distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic, it appeared her sweet boy would have to keep celebrate with just his father Jim Toth and siblings Ava, 20, and Phillippe, 16, who Witherspoon shares with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

Earlier this month, she urged parents to talk to their children about ‘racism, privilege, bigotry and hate’ after talking to Tennessee about the current protests taking place across the country over the killing of George Floyd.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘Last night at dinner, my 7-year-old asked why all the grown ups were so upset. We spoke to him about what happened to George Floyd.’

‘Being a white mother trying to explain racism and bigotry to her white son, who did not understand why anyone would treat another human being that way, was heartbreaking. But not nearly as heartbreaking as being a victim of one of these senseless, violent, unconscionable crimes,’ the Legally Blonde star wrote.
