Big Brother viewers flocked to social media to label new housemate Garth Saville ‘a grub’ after he failed to wash his hands after going to the bathroom on Tuesday night.
But season four winner Reggie Bird quickly rushed to remind fans she had to live with someone much worse.
The former reality star revealed that in 2003 she shared the house with Carlo Melino, who had some very questionable hygiene habits.

‘He used to bath in the sink where we had to wash our clothes and pee in the garden,’ she said in a post to Twitter.
While not much is known about what happened to scruffy haired Carlo following his eviction, it was recently reported that he is now a teacher living in Melbourne.
It comes after viewers called out current contestant Garth for his lacklustre hygiene habits.

Another added: ‘Imagine being exposed on national TV as a non-hand washer.’
On Tuesday night, Garth – along with fellow newcomers Chad Hurst, Sophie Budack and Sarah McDougal – had to enter the Big Brother compound without being noticed.

Despite his lack of personal hygiene, the colourful personality appears to be quickly cementing his position as a fan-favourite on the show.
‘Garth is completely different to what I was expecting! I love it,’ one wrote.
A second said: ‘I’m officially the president of the Garth fan club.’

A third tweeted: ‘Garth has been the first housemate to really grab my attention. He gives that fun, cheeky vibe, and glides in as my favourite.’
‘I knew I would love Garth,’ a fourth penned.
The 50-year-old refers to himself as an ‘urban adventurer, glitter aficionado and gay dad’ on Instagram.
Meanwhile, his Big Brother profile describes him as ‘fabulous, fun and a little bit naughty’.
