Rooney Mara covers up in denim as she runs errands in LA

Rooney Mara is reportedly pregnant with her first child with fiance Joaquin Phoenix.

And the two-time Academy Award nominee is keeping busy as she prepares to welcome the new addition.

The actress covered her ‘baby bump’ Monday in a denim shearling jacket with a white fur collar as she stepped out to run errands in Los Angeles during a break from quarantine.

The 35-year-old paired the look with a grey t-shirt, oversized black sweatpants and a matching pair of sneakers.

She finished the ensemble with a pair of black wayfarers, a white face mask and a canvas tote bag over her shoulder. 

Rooney’s ‘pregnancy’ with Joaquin, 45, was reported on last month, although the private couple has yet to comment on the news.

A source told Page Six that she could have been as far as six months along at the time, but she’s been covering her baby bump with baggy clothes.

Another insider told Life & Style that she ‘has been open to motherhood’ since her sister Kate Mara, 37, welcomed her first daughter last year with husband Jamie Bell, 34.

They continued: ‘She saw how it totally changed Kate’s life and how in love Kate is with her daughter.’

But the Carol star and her Oscar-winning husband-to-be likely won’t be ‘divulging many details’ about their pregnancy.

The source added that the couple is planning their wedding during quarantine: ‘I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a small ceremony ASAP, maybe even just the two of them.’ 

Rooney and Joaquin met in 2012 on the set of Her, their first of three films together, and they began dating in 2016, before their engagement was confirmed last July.
