‘There’s no going back’: NRL WAG Zoe Marshall reveals her ‘terrifying’ new career project

She’s forged a successful career as a TV presenter and radio host.

And now NRL WAG Zoe Marshall has revealed her ‘terrifying’ new project in an interview with The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential on Friday.

The 35-year-old said she has to ‘stand by this work’ as she launches her new podcast The Deep, which follows the lives of Australians facing issues such as drug addiction and sexual abuse.

‘I feel like there is no going back. This is the line in the sand for me, for my career, for who I am as a person,’ Zoe said.

‘I have to stand by this work that I am putting out there and it is terrifying.’

Zoe will follow the lives of Australians facing adversity, and hopes to also cover taboo topics including suicide, racism and mental illness.

The wife of Wests Tigers star Benji Marshall admitted that the new venture may be surprising to some, having never allowed herself to be this vulnerable before.

‘I think that I am perceived to be something that I am not and that is my fault,’ she said.

Zoe wed Benji Marshall, 35, at a private estate in Byron Bay back in 2013, and they are now proud parents to son Benjamin Fox, two.

Juggling their careers with parenthood, Zoe admitted on the Raw Talks podcast in March last year that it can be tough finding time to check in with each other.

‘Sometimes we get a moment together in the car where we’re like, “How are you?’ How are you actually going? Are you ready for the game?”,  and he (Benji) does the same to me but they’re like little nuggets amongst the chaos,’ she said.

Zoe also revealed how she often has ‘lists of things’ that she wants to speak to Benji about, but ‘never’ gets the time to ask him.
