Former Australian cricketer Trent Copeland is expecting his first child with his wife Kimberlee Green.

The sports star, 34, shared the exciting news to Instagram on Wednesday alongside a photo of his netballer wife’s latest ultrasound. 

‘You’re going to make the most AMAZING mother. I’m so excited and grateful to be adding to our family this December,’ he wrote.

The shape of the child’s head and upper body was visible in the image, which Trent shared with his followers.

Kimberlee also revealed her excitement on her Instagram page and said she couldn’t wait to meet the baby.

‘We are so incredibly grateful and excited to be adding a new member to our family this December. Baby Copeland, we can’t wait to meet you,’ she said.

Trent and Kimberlee married in a lavish ceremony in 2012 in a beach setting at North Wollongong.

The couple wed in front of 170 guests including cricketers Anthony Stuart, Stephen O’Keefe as well as netball stars Liz Ellis, Cath Cox and Mo’onia Gerrard. 

In August 2019, Trent gushed about his ‘amazing wife’ as they celebrated seven years of marriage.

‘Seven amazing years. Happy anniversary to the most beautiful soul and person I admire the most in my life,’ he wrote on Instagram.

‘Can’t wait for the next 100,’ he added alongside a love heart emoji. 

Trent represents New South Wales in domestic cricket and is also a commentator for Channel Seven. 

Kimberlee is former captain of the Australian Diamonds as well as a Commonwealth Games gold medal winner.
