Child is rushed to hospital in an air ambulance after ‘falling from a high window’ onto London street

  • Police officers were called to Walworth, South London, at 7.31pm this evening
  • The child, whose age and gender are unknown, fell ‘from height’, police say

A child has been rushed to hospital in an air ambulance after falling ‘from height’, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Walworth, South London, at 7.31pm and the child, whose gender and age are unknown, was airlifted to hospital ‘for assessment’.

London’s Air Ambulance was seen landing in Nursery Row Park just before 8pm. 

A spokesman for Metropolitan police told MailOnline: ‘A child fell from height at 1931hrs at an address in King & Queen Street, SE17. 

The child, whose gender and age are unknown, was airlifted to hospital 'for assessment'

‘The child has been taken to hospital for assessment. No crime scene is in place.’

One witness revealed they saw the child fall from a window, although this is unconfirmed.
