Phoebe Burgess has been self-isolating with her two children at her parents’ Bowral estate for several months, but on Monday, she was all by her lonesome.
The single mother found herself missing her children, Poppy, three, and son Billy, one, as they headed back to daycare as isolation regulations are lifted in NSW.
The 31-year-old shared an Instagram photo of her son and daughter heading off to school that morning, alongside a sullen caption.

She wrote: ‘Back to school. Why does two days of daycare feel like an empty nest? With isolation beginning it’s end, being child-free means I’m (ironically) more isolated than ever.
‘I’ve also apparently forgotten how to use a full day to myself… I’ve shopped, hoovered (with an actual Hoover) a two bedroom apartment, twice, rearranged both rooms, sorted the cereals.’
Phoebe went on: ‘Worked on my laptop (and without a 15kg mini-me tackling me for the keyboard it took me half the time to meet a deadline).

‘Polished off a leftover strawberries and cream Messina cake, and had Gossip Girl playing in the background to avoid the foreign sound of hearing myself think (ie. total silence)’.
On Saturday, the single mother shared a sweet moment with her son Billie at the expansive property.
In a picture posted to Instagram, the toddler handed his mother a tiny flower from her parents’ garden.

‘The only one who gives me flowers,’ the 30-year-old former journalist wrote, adding the hashtag #MyBoy.
Phoebe appeared to be hinting that she doesn’t have a romantic interest in her life at this time.
